the fact that trans women are apparently at a higher risk of being killed / abused or sexually assulted etc just kind of proves to me that misandry is more than just “some women who hate men”. the fact that men don’t have the freedom, even in the eyes of other men, to dress how they want and be who they want is sad to me.
i’m not trying to say “trans women are men.” please before you jump on my back about that one just shut up. i’m saying, in the eyes of the abuser, they see that trans woman as a man, as a man who is dressing up like a woman, as a (insert slur here) right?
they see a man in the street, who looks like they are trying to be a woman, and they think “thats gross blah blah blah (more slurs)” and start being violent towards them. because men aren’t allowed to have that sexual freedom, men aren’t allowed to have any freedom, if they don’t fit into their little gender boxes of masculinity and strength then they are targetted. i’m sure this is similar for trans men but i have heard more times than i can count on my fingers that trans women are at a disproportionate risk of being the victim of violence
and i attribute this down to women having more sexual freedom than men, of course i know that masculine females(not trans men) can often be shunned in the eyes of other girls, especially in schools and stuff like that. but it seems like the statistics are backing me up man idk
this is sort of just a rant i’m tired and thinking about shit
